Anyone who has driven with children in the car know of the distractions they can cause. One Wisconsin man now faces drunk driving charges after he allegedly wrecked a van containing three children under the age of 16.
According to reports, the 32-year-old was driving through a Wisconsin town early one morning on a day in early January. Unfortunately, police claim that the van exited the roadway. Afterward, it reportedly struck both a tree and a utility pole before coming to a stop.
Reports claim that the driver failed a field sobriety test. Although police say his blood alcohol content was over the legal limit, his exact BAC and how it was determined remain unclear. The mother picked up the children as the van sustained significant damage. The driver faces multiple charges as a result of the accident.
